The Geelong LGBT Film Festival aims to bring contemporary and classic LGBT themed films to Geelong for an inclusive film festival for the whole community.

The festival aims to:

  • support independent cinema in Geelong;
  • bring LGBTIQ stories to the wider community;
  • support the development a thriving and vibrant LGBT community in Victoria’s largest regional city by adding to what is currently a limited calendar of events.

Who is coordinating the Geelong LGBT Film Festival?

we are a group of volunteers who would like to support the development of a Geelong community that is more visibly inclusive of LGBTIQ people.  We are seeking partners and volunteers to coordinate the festival. If you would like to be involved please contact Stephen Ryan on 0414 401 360 stephen@ryanharvey.net.

When will the Geelong LGBT Film Festival be held?

The film festival is still in development with the feasibility of a potential 2017 event being explored. We aim to start small and achievable by screening four films over two days in the first year.
